Port Royal is Hilton Head's only private beach front community. Beautiful wide beaches extend from the Port Royal Sound southwards.There is a 24 hour guarded security entrance. Port Royal has a reach civil war history. Evidence of battlement positions can be found through out the Plantation.

There are three 18 hole golf courses. The large antebellum-style clubhouse is a beautiful setting for parties or enjoying a bite to eat. There is also an ocean front swim club for relaxation or a good workout in the pool. Port Royal also has a tennis club with 16 clay and hard tennis courts.
